Home late last night and in consequence rather the worse for wear & tear this morning. Went round to Gray to discuss question of publication of Running Set & decided to do it independently of Novello’s so as to avoid waste of time in discussion and later on include Running Set and other dances yet to be collected in 5th Country Dance Book. Then to Rabolds to meet Seth Bingham & Gowings & play my ballad accompaniments — lunched with them & then met Glenn here. Reported most encouragingly about Pritchett. I am to write a petition, get it revised by Glenn & then forward it to Woodward the President of the Carnegie Corporation at Washington. Said no copies of my book to be had at Putnam’s!1 In the evening helped at Pageant at Allied Bazaar — a most pitiful degrading affair. Note. Never again have any connection with pageants.Location
