Steve Turner is a traditional and contemporary folk musician, celebrated for his masterful concertina song accompaniments and one of the finest voices on the folk scene. Steve’s performances are characterised by strong melodies and a warm connection with the audience.
A gifted multi‑instrumentalist, he launched his professional solo career in 1980, releasing four albums by 1986. Now with ten albums to his name, including his latest, A Host of Furious Fancies – and collaborations with some of the UK’s leading folk musicians, he remains a compelling presence on stages across the UK and internationally.
Expect a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs, all accompanied on the English concertina and by humorous quips. Plus, a couple of sets of tunes on the tenor banjo.
