The English Folk Dance and Song Society has a fantastic reputation for supporting emerging artists and encouraging artist collaboration and so being able to affiliate an album project with the organisation helped greatly
Emily Mae Winters, Seed Funding Bursary holder 2017/18
In recent years we have commissioned and supported many new works covering a broad range of music and dance.
Our work is currently supported by Arts Council England, PRS Foundation and Help Musicians UK. This has included professional development residential courses, performance development days, mentoring and more.
We are a founding partner of English Folk Expo (EFEx).

This project has been in the pipeline for a number of years, but we have never had the financial backing to create this work to its best potential. Thanks to the bursary, we have been able to take time from gigging to properly develop material and had enough money to produce a high quality product
