Currently publishing four times a year (March, June, September and December), EDS goes to a loyal base of more than 3000 subscribers.
The editor will commission writers for stories, and write/compile listings and news pages. They will work closely with the EFDSS Marketing team to ensure the organisation’s work is covered, in addition to commissioning a range of features, articles, music reviews and interviews of interest to the broader folk music and dance world. The editor will take the lead on picture research and editing.
EDS has historically placed an emphasis on traditional music, dance and song, and has covered both professional folk musicians and also participatory activities. We are keen to highlight the continuing relevance of historical traditions and practices, and to make folk accessible to a wide audience.
