English Folk Dance and Song Society at Wilderness Festival, 7 to 10 August

Wednesday 30th of July 2014

Wilderness Festival is a four-day festival that combines live music, contemporary arts and an array of theatre, craftsmanship and dining experiences.

Held at Cornbury Park, in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, this year there is a keen focus on folk music in the line up.

The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS), in partnership with The Local, has programmed The Travelling Folk Barn on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The Travelling Folk Barn at Wilderness

Performers will include Cambridge family and friends folk band The Willows; David Gibb & Elly Lucas; the traditional and self-written folk quintet, Coach House Company; sing-songwriter Jess Morgan; Jim Causley, the singer of Devon traditional songs; Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker; and accordion and percussion duo, The Hut People.

We have also lined up song and dance workshops to encourage people to find out more about all the traditional folk arts.
