Individual donations are an essential form of support for us. Without them, we would be unable to continue the varied and unparalleled work we do to develop a whole range of folk activities across music, dance and scholarly research. Your donation, large or small, will directly help to grow and nourish the future of the folk arts.
The funds from this campaign will be directed towards our Folk Rising programme. Folk Rising seeks to re-define English folk music and dance for the 21st century by supporting a greater diversity of artists to explore and work with folk. Through bursaries, rehearsal space, and training/support, the programme amplifies new voices and fosters fresh interpretations of folk music and dance relevant to today's society.
Throughout the big week we will be sharing more about Folk Rising, and the impact that bursaries we’ve awarded over the past few years have already made on the lives and careers of groundbreaking artists. You can also find out more about the programme on our Big Give fundraising page.
