The English Folk Dance and Song Society now has three board members under the age of 30 – and two aged under 23.
Charity boards should reflect the community as a whole. So, earlier in 2020, we put out a call for people aged between 18 and 30 years to join the Board of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. We were delighted with the response, and three new faces have now joined the board.
This is not a separate ‘youth board’ – the three young people are full members of the board, which meets regularly to plan for the organisation’s future.
