Big Dance Week 2010: Uphold

As part of T Mobile's Big Dance Week 2010, the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) worked in partnership with Sadler's Wells to host a brand new piece of contemporary choreography, created by artists from Wayne McGregor | Random Dance.

Dancers of all abilities, styles and backgrounds from across London took part. Together they rehearsed in June to develop their new work, Uphold, which was inspired by ideas drawn from traditional English folk dance. The piece was created for and performed in the historic Kennedy Hall at Cecil Sharp House on 8 and 9 July 2010.
