A creative folk workshop for young people (12-24 year olds) with disabilities, their siblings and friends.
Explore and create folk music and song together in an inclusive, sensory environment. All abilities and levels of experience welcome. No prior experience of playing music required.
This year we are focusing on the archives of American folk song collector, James Madison Carpenter. Currently being digitally archived to the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, his collection contains a wealth of ballads, tunes and other material collected from across UK. We'll be creating our own new and exciting works based on his source recordings and manuscripts, and learning more about his life.
