The 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards mark an important milestone – their 15th anniversary – in a ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall. The awards will see some of the biggest names in folk music come together under one roof to celebrate the UK’s thriving folk music scene.
The award-winning Wilderness festival has made a name for itself as the ultimate music-loving foodie's weekend. Set in the dazzling environs of Cornbury Park, nestled deep in the heart of Oxfordshire, the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) is delighted to be working in partnership with The Local to programme music and dance in the Travelling Folk Barn at the fourth season of Wilderness.
At the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (19 February), a new element will be introduced: the Folk Awards Hall of Fame. The first inductee will be Cecil Sharp!
