Research into young artists and folk clubs

What proportion of young people go to folk clubs as audience members?

Are young people are interested in performing at folk clubs?

Would any young people be interested in running or programming a folk club?

There are suggestions that fewer young artists are interested in folk clubs – but is there any evidence to back this up? Should we be encouraging under-30s to become more involved in the traditional folk club scene?

The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) is researching the attitudes of young people to folk clubs – performing in, attending, programming for or even running a folk club.

If you are aged between 12 and 30, we would greatly appreciate a few minutes of your time in answering a short survey.

Please feel free to pass on the survey to friends and colleagues. The closing date is 14 December 2018.
