English Dance & Song, Autumn 2017

Autumn 2017 issue of EDS magazine out now

Autumn may be upon us, but fine memories of the summer’s festivals prevail. In this edition, you can read reviews by some of our contributors, plus find out what festivals are taking place in our autumn festival guide.

Hartlepool Folk Festival director Joan Crump talks about the special event celebrating the Barrack Room Ballads at October’s event.

Emily Askew chats to us about her love of folk music, while Derek and Mary Droscher (pictured) tell us about folk events in Banbury in our regular ‘Folk in our pub’ feature.

Concertina maker Jake Middleton-Metcalfe discusses his craft, and young writer Robyn Chicot tells us about folk dance group, Oakenhoof (pictured).

There are also plenty of stories about some of our exciting EFDSS projects and initiatives, plus regular features including news, reviews, dance events, lives remembered and much more.

The Summer 2017 edition is available to order via our folkshop.
