Thursday 18 June 2015 marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. As with many such landmark historical events, the battle was widely recorded in a whole host of songs and ballads, particularly on broadsides.
Key figures in youth folk music, influential and long-standing organisations and brand new ventures have all given their voice to a mapping survey of youth folk music activity in England. Over 100 projects are included, varying in reach and scope, from county-wide youth folk ensembles, to school ceilidh bands, festivals, holiday courses and one-off workshops.
The Summer 2015 issue of English Dance & Song magazine celebrates two 50th anniversaries.
