Ballads of the Battle: marking 200 years since Waterloo

Today marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. The battle inspired a vast array of songs, ballads and dance tunes to be written and passed on. Here are a few, submitted by the good people of the internet. Thanks very much to everyone who contributed!

Thursday 18 June 2015 marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. As with many such landmark historical events, the battle was widely recorded in a whole host of songs and ballads, particularly on broadsides.
