Thanks to their multitude of influences and experience String Sisters appeals to lovers of Scandinavian, Scots and Irish folk, Appalachian music aficionados, fiddle fans, and Classical music buffs alike. It’s pure musical joy and awfully good for the soul.

For 2018 the band have a new album that is causing a stir wherever they go. 'Between Wind and Water’ features new compositions by Catriona Macdonald, Annbjørg Lien, Liz Carroll, Liz Knowles, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Dave Milligan and Tore Bruvoll plus traditional tunes and songs from Shetland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United States. The album was conceived in Shetland in June 2017 and delivered at Castlesound in Edinburgh last November.
