Jazz, Funk, Fiddling. What do you get if you take three musicians who have known each other since they were school age, but have thirty plus years of widely varying experiences and a love of danger? Two parts jazz improv session, one part country dance - all of it danceable English ceilidh music from Junction 24.
Brian Stone (fiddle), Rob Woodward (keyboards), Pete Mason (drums) play a heady mix of traditional and modern tunes for a funky, laid-back, manic ceilidh, while Andy Rouse picks the dances and tells you how to do them, with simple instructions and the emphasis on having fun.
Golden Hare Morris will provide the interval entertainment with dances in local traditions from mid-Bedfordshire, danced with style and energy.
The evening starts at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:30), and finishes at 11.00 p.m. Adults - £11, concessions, children’s and family tickets available (see website for details). There’s a real ale, cider, wine and soft drinks bar and a raffle at the half-time break; parking is easy in the town centre, just walk to the church and you’ll find the hall in the church grounds.
