Cecil Sharp House Social Sharers
This year the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) turns 80. To celebrate, we’re offering three people free access to our autumn gigs at Cecil Sharp House.
EFDSS is looking for three enthusiastic digitally competent social media lovers – Social Sharers – to tweet and blog about their gig-going experiences at Cecil Sharp House throughout the season. We’re launching a competition for imaginative and creative bloggers and tweeters to win tickets to a selection of gigs promoted by EFDSS, presented in association with Songlines magazine.
What would being a Cecil Sharp House Social Sharer consist of? You’ll get:
- tickets to EFDSS promoted gigs* for two people (we ask that you come to at least four of the available gigs)
- the chance to interview and engage with some of the performing artists and EFDSS staff
- tea and cake for two people from The Nice Green Cafe, our in-house catering partner, at every event
- four issues of Songlines magazine

This competition is aimed at people of any age who are enthusiastic about folk music, or would like to learn more about the genre. We welcome entries from people who have already visited Cecil Sharp House, as well as those who have never been but would like to come and see the venue in action.
Throughout the season, participants will be encouraged to tweet, blog and record their gig-going experiences at Cecil Sharp House through innovative and exciting posts, videos, and photographs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in digital platforms and the arts to be given exclusive access to the legendary Cecil Sharp House.
If you’d like to be one of the three winners, have an interest in folk music and Cecil Sharp House, are digitally competent and use social media, apply online.
