Size: 153 x 234mm
Published by Penguin Classics in association with the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS), The New Penguin Book of English Folk Songs will be available from June 7 (hardback and eBook). EFDSS will host a launch event at Cecil Sharp House tonight, June 12.
The Times, journalist Will Hodgkinson reviewed the book on June 11 - see excerpt below.
“Folk songs offer an alternative view of history, reportage from the ground up.
