U.Dance
U.Dance is a national programme run by Youth Dance England, the national organisation that champions dance for all children and young people. U.Dance 2012 is Youth Dance England’s flagship event taking place from 13 - 15 July 2012 at Southbank Centre, London.
The festival will include workshops and masterclasses for the participants and the wider public, some free performances in Southbank Centre's Clore Ballroom, dance film screenings and site-specific performances across Southbank Centre, and some high-profile performances in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Festival Hall on three consecutive evenings. Each performance will showcase some of the best youth dance groups from across the UK as well as the first UK-wide youth dance company the U.Dance Ensemble led by Hofesh Shechter, and some special guest performers.
