Folk Ensembles at CYM

London’s Centre for Young Musicians is running two new Folk Ensembles in partnership with the English Folk Dance and Song Society.
These take place in Lambeth on Saturday afternoons, 2.15 – 3.15pm (for young people aged 11 - 14 years) and 3.30 – 4.30pm (for young people aged 15 – 18 years)
There are 10 sessions per term at a cost of £100 per term.
The sessions are for young people from across London.
They are aimed at young people who play any instrument - strings, wind, guitars, percussion, keyboard, etc. (Please note that singers are not included at the moment.)
The Folk Ensemble for younger students plays at approximately grade 4 – 5 level; the older students play at approximately grade 6 + standard.
There is no need to read music as learning within sessions is by ear.
The next opportunity to join is April 21st for the Summer Term.
