Malcolm Taylor to be recognised at BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards
19-01-2012
We're absolutely delighted to announce that Malcolm Taylor OBE, Director of the Vaughan Williams Memorial (VWML) Library at the English Folk Dance and Song Society, will receive the Roots Award - awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution to Folk Music from a Grass Roots level upwards - at BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards 2012. Malcolm has given more than 30 years of service to the VMWL Library.
Malcolm commented: “I am surprised and honoured to be receiving this award. The real star of the show is the Ralph Vaughan Williams Library itself. I am absolutely delighted to be accepting the award on behalf of the library and archive collections.”
Malcolm was given the EFDSS Gold Badge Award in 2004. Read more
