Schools & Colleges
EFDSS Education creates and delivers folk arts education projects for children and young people in schools, colleges, universities and informal youth settings, often working in partnership with other educational and arts organisations. Projects take place in Camden, across London and other parts of Britain.
Current and Recent Education Programmes:
Living Song – a folk song and composition project devised and delivered in partnership with the Royal College of Music Junior Department.
Take 6 – in August 2009 EFDSS completed an 18-month archival and education project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, piloting the use of heritage folk song, singing games and English traditional dance collections to children in 12 primary schools in Hampshire, Lancashire and London.
