Projects

EFDSS Education works to encourage a larger and more diverse range of people to discover and engage with folk dance, music, song and other folk arts and to use the collections held in the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library (VWML). We work in the Society’s home borough of Camden, across London and nationally. To do this, EFDSS works in partnership with a broad range of community and cultural organisations: in the past couple of years this has included the National Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Previous education projects and activities have included:

  • Living Song
  • Take 6
  • World Dances and Action Games training days
  • Tagore Project: The Fatal Hunt (Kalmiragaya)
  • Singing Histories: London
  • Big Dance Week: Uphold
  • Artists in Residence
  • exCHANGES: morris/contemporary choreographic project 2009
  • Clog/contemporary mini-residency 2009
  • Transatlantic morris residency 2010
