The phenomenally popular Show of Hands has become one of the most significant acoustic acts on the British folk roots scene. Triple BBC Radio 2 award winners Steve Knightley and Phil Beer (Best Live Act, Best Duo, Best Original Song) hail from rock backgrounds but today their engaging music dips and dives through roots, rock, blues, country and traditional genres to make an unmistakable signature sound. Both multi-instrumentalists their music feature a wealth of instruments from slide guitars to mandocello, fiddle to South American cuatro.

Their passionate and powerful music is set against the virtuosity of their vocals and harmonies. Knightley, hailed as “one of England’s greatest singer songwriters”, and instrumental genius Beer (Musician of the Year, 2011 Spiral Awards) promise a harmony-rich programme of punch-packing original songs. They will be joined on stage by double bassist / vocalist Miranda Sykes.
