  • C# MINORS PLAY CLUB

    Fun with music, song, dance and traditional activity games. Especially for children 5'ish to 7'ish.

    WHEN? Tuesdays 4.15 pm to 5.30 pm

    Workshop leader Jane Pfaff has a lifetimes experience of introducing folk arts to primary aged children With supporting musician Jeremy Monson.

    Morris dancing teaches team work and how to handle your emotions
    Longsword dance is brilliant for team- work, flexibility and learning tolerance
    Maypole dancing for rhythm, hand and eye coordination, number work and timing
    Singing games are great fun and provide language practice
    Clapping games help coordination, give language practice and cement friendships

    8. Traditional children's playground games and songs
    9. Folk Song as a starting point for Citizenship activities and discussion
    10. Mask making (Green man theme) as a distinct workshop or as part of a Citizenship theme
    11. Solo Broom Dance as a special fun activity or part of a Victorian workshop
    12. Regency/Pride and Prejudice dances

    Workshops from 1 to 10 inclusive, have a professionally produced book, a CD, and for the Morris a DVD, to support the workshop and can be included in the price of the workshop or purchased separately from the EFDSS web shop at www.efdss.org

    Workshops 11 and 12 can have individually produced supportive material if required.
